Looking at my Twitter feed following Tuesday night’s budget announcement, it was difficult to spot supporters, which makes me wonder, perhaps they too are a little peeved.

There’s talk of a double dissolution, Senate blocks and key players vow to kill #Budget2014 before it kills us. One should remain optimistic.

There was also a clear absence of the former Prime Minister Julia Gillard in the Twitter discussions. While we hashtag #ThreeWordBudget and lament over more broken promises, Julia tweets the release of her latest book.

She has clearly moved on.

However, influential women on Twitter did not disappoint tweeting their outrage and voicing real concerns not only for themselves but for those hardest hit should the budget pass through Parliament. Here’s our round-up.
