Robelen: The initial dream for Chateau de Gudanes was a private residence and there’s been a change of heart. Tells us about that and the future plans for the chateau.

Karina:  Yes, in the beginning, and still in denial, we thought to only use the Château as a private residence. But after signing the final contract, and taking over the keys, it soon became apparent this was too much of a timorous and cautious approach, which was never going to cut it for the future. How could we support the ongoing maintenance, and prevent the same ruination from happening again, in the years to come?

As the consolidation, and work on the Château began, so did the international interest on the blog and social media sites. Simultaneously it felt as if the Château was waking from a long, shaken sleep, feeling the love and nurture world-wide. As it opened its heart, and began to reveal its hidden secrets, the more the hearts of a similar kind, from around the world, felt captivated whilst following the progress.

The Château was destined to play a greater role than we originally thought, and our dream now is to embrace that role, and do what we can to support not just a building, but a power where the force is towering and magical. It will open its doors to those who have opened their hearts, for it is love that has brought this together.

Robelen: What has been the highlight so far in this project?

Karina: The positivity and encouragement of people on social media has been a huge blessing on this journey. It has provided so much support for the Château, which we never imagined we would ever have. We now realise that we are on this journey together with our new, extended family. Each time I post on Instagram and Facebook, or write a blog, the energy and positivity for the project can be felt by so many followers and friends. Even though they may not be there, everyone seems to be connected to the energy and vitality that the Château exudes.
