All about Australian Women
Thinking about the common good or aiming to achieve something bigger than our own interests is very inspiring to others. Inspiration attracts people and it is critical to learn the secrets of inspiration to become a good leader.
Learning to seek feedback from others, reflecting on it and accepting it if it makes sense can certainly enhance anyone’s current abilities. Feedback puts into perspective the thoughts in our mind and allow us to compare what we think with how others see us.
One of the greatest gifts in life is curiosity for learning and self-improvement. If there is no learning, one’s brain stagnates and starts to believe that what we know is enough. We become self-righteous, limited and resist change.
In this era of continuous distractions, our social abilities are definitely being tested. People like to be listened to and considered. Being mindful, even for a few minutes and paying attention to those around is an ability that can definitely be mastered and builds connection with others.
As Bill Gates once said: it doesn’t matter how much money a person has, we all have 24 hours a day. It is how we spend the 24 hours that matters. Attending useless meetings, for example, may be a waste of time.
Identifying what’s important to us, sitting down to plan, prioritise and learning to focus is crucial if we want to achieve what we set ourselves to do.

I love that you included taking care of mental and physical health in the list. Too often we all get so consumed by work and let our physical health slip away, which not only has an adverse impact on our mental health, but also our ability to perform and lead. This is definitely the case with many senior leaders. Thanks for sharing!
